My experience-Migraine or Sinus Pressure?
Let me start out by saying that I've had migraines since I was 5 or 6, so I feel weird asking this question.
The combo of Topamax and Emgality had been keeping me relatively migraine free for nearly two years. After a lifetime of 15+ per month, this has been life-changing.
However, starting around Christmas Eve, I've had a migraine off and on. You know, the kind that never totally goes away, but becomes bearable, and then gets bad again. Or, at least I thought it was a migraine.
It isn't uncommon for my nose to ache and water during a migraine, or even for my outer ear to feel like it is on fire. But now my ears seem plugged up and I've got vertigo.
I had the flu about a month ago, and have still been dealing with some drainage in the morning, but I haven't really been congested. Could I be getting a sinus infection? Or is the inner ear pain/pressure and vertigo just another fun migraine symptom to add to my bingo card?
Both Imitrex and Alka Seltzer Plus Cold have been helpful with the pain.
I feel like I'm on the world's saddest cruise ship right now, and I want to get off!!
