My experience-Vestibular migraine sufferers, do you experience similar symptoms?
First of all: i am going to be diagnosed by a neurologist but I have to wait 4 weeks. I have just been scrolling through the sub and actually noticed what symptoms could come from vestibular migraine.
I (27F) have been a migraine sufferer for at least 10 yrs, suffering from strong one sided pain (around sinus and eyes) occasional nausea. Had them once a week and they went away with zolmitriptane almost immediately.
2 months ago (since I got covid, not sure if coincidence or not) these migraines started to get a lot more intense. Extreme Vertigo, dizziness and nausea during attacks. My triptane didnt work anymore, only the double dose or an additional ibuprofen. Now inbetween the attacks I started to feel slightly dizzy and zoned out too. When its silent I hear a ringing in my ear. I noticed that ive gotten quite light sensitive with occasional eye floaters too. Seeing too much movement for example in movies makes me also a bit sick. All in all that makes me feel very disassociated and also beyond scared (health anxiety sufferer here).
Many of you will know the struggle of being anxious about a brain tumour or glaucoma or something bad. Im spiraling and this wont help the tension in my body:/ I will have a neurologist appointment in december and these will be the longest four weeks ever:(
When I read about the people here suffering from vestibular migraines, i was able to identify a lot. Do you experience symptoms like this? any tips to actually have a life until my neuros appointment?
