My experience-Can I be dismissed from my job due to too many absences due to migraines?

I’m a 23 year old male, living in the UK. and I suffer with frequent migraines and this means I have loads of absences at work.

It’s got to the point that I’m having a meeting with my area manager about it.

None of the other management get it that it’s a condition and that I physically can’t work if I have one. They just think it’s a headache. I’m worried that I’m going to get in trouble and be dismissed because of it.

I’ve been diagnosed by the he doctors and made my work aware of this by handing in a note.

Is there anything that can protect me? And what can I say to my area manager to protect me as I’m really worried and the stress is causing more migraines.
