My experience-amitriptyline - high heart rate?

I just took my first dose yesterday and had really bad sedation effects at night but once it reached the evening time today my heart rate is super high and my chest feels tight. I checked my blood pressure and it's fine.

I had tried nortriptyline before for migraines/neck pain but it didn't do anything at all and I had actually went off of it because it made my resting heart rate like 130 bpm.

I don't know why I didn't consider this happening as well as they're in the same family of drugs. I reallllly want to give amitriptyline a shot so does the racing heart ever go away as you adjust to it ???

I'm a 24 y/o female with no heart issues otherwise.
