My experience-Continuous birth control

So I’ve had migraines my entire adult life and my menstrual ones were always the worst. They’ve definitely gotten worse in general over the years (I’m in my mid 30s) my migraines drastically changed earlier this summer and I thought maybe my changing hormones is what made it happen.

I have been trying continuous birth control hoping that I could stop the menstrual migraines if I stopped my period. I’ve had no luck. Im getting constant migraines regardless. I’m not sure if the estrogen is actually making things worse, which I was told by my doctor that it does happen to some people.

Has anyone found that continuous bc has made their migraines worse? I’m not using a placebo pill so I’m not having the drop in hormones.

Also, my neurologist knows I am on hormonal bc with migraines and he knows the stroke/blood clot risk is low so he is fine with it.
