My experience-Aura, without pain
Hello everyone! I'm new here, so forgive some ignorance.
For the last 5 - 6 years I've experienced some visual disturbances. My research suggests that it's likely scintillating scotoma. Small shimmering blob that gradually becomes a crescent.
I've also had a few instances where my eyes wouldn't converge, resulting in double vision.
No pain.
I went to a neurologist, had blood tests done for markers of inflammation (negative) , an MRI that showed everything is normal (no aneurysm).
The very brief message I got from the neurologist was "everything is okay, no signs of aneurysm".
I won't see her until February, so my question to the community is this:
Are migraines with aura (scintillating scotoma), no pain, possible or common? It just seems weird to me.
Did I win the migraine lottery, given they seem to happen but no pain?
Thanks so much!
