My experience-Migraine diet not helping?

So I’ve recently been diagnosed with vestibular migraines after getting covid. I’ve had them for about 6 weeks straight. Have had a history of migraines every once in a while before this. Doctors keep telling me to pay attention to the migraine diet but I’m having doubt it’s anything related to diet. Tried to follow it for a few weeks and symptoms didn’t get better so I started eating everything like normal again and symptoms didn’t get worse. Actually my VM symptoms have gotten a little bettter maybe because of time? I’m recalling that anytime I’ve had any other migraine in the past, it’s mostly related to stress, lack of sleep, menstrual cycle or having had too much alcohol the day before. I’ve never noticed it be related to food. My symptoms have actually gotten a little better with rest and supplements but I’ve been eating everything like normal. Is it safe to say that food isn’t the trigger for me and I should continue my regular diet?
