I’ve had chronic daily migraine for 3.5 years but for whatever reason over this past week I have had a flair that is so painful and so unmanageable that I am beside myself. I’ve been to the ER twice, seen a back up neurologist (my headache specialist is out) and a pain specialist to get nerve blocks yesterday , but a full week after this 8-10 out of 10 pain started, it still has not abated. The sound, light and smell sensitivities are off the charts, as is the nausea. i can barely function. I’m hoping the steroids from the nerve block bring it down but I’m having major panic attacks because I’ve never had a flair last anywhere near this long with this much pain. Can anyone attest to having a long excruciating flair that they were able to get out of? I’m so incredibly scared right now that this is my forever state.
