My migraines really got bad after a head injury 12 years ago. However, no doctor has really gone beyond basic meds (topamax, SSRIs, propranolol, emgality, trazadone, sumatriptan, etc) and lifestyle change recommendations.

I need someone who will look into deeper causes like occipital neuralgia, neck pain, TMJ, EDS, CSF leaks, compressed nerves, etc. I would LOVE to find a caring, non dismissive doctor who really wants to get to the bottom of things, run tests/do imaging, try out new options and make it so I can function. It would be amazing to find one one who either refers for nerve blocks and trigger point injections, or has experience doing them.

Any help or recommendations would be amazing. I’m a more complex patient with other serious health issues too, so some doctors get annoyed or frustrated or just don’t want to deal with the complexity. I am desperate for someone that is willing to help and who is understanding of how hard to be in my position. My life at 32 has basically put on hold for years and years, due to feeling awful constantly, and migraines and extreme light sensitivity are one part of the puzzle I need to solve to be functional.
