My experience-Unsettling thing happened during my last migraine

A portion of this post will be on the gross side for some people. It's not that bad, but deals with throwing up. Anyway, onto my problem.

Last night I had a bad migraine. Not the worst that I have ever had, but one where my preventative measures failed (taking 4 Naproxen and going to bed immediately) and for the next 4 hours of sleeplessness I was acting very erratically. Well, at least I would assume a casual observer would describe my behavior as erratic. Getting in and out of bed every 5-10 minutes, getting a washcloth wet and putting it on my pillow, just to throw the washcloth on the floor 5 minutes later when it isn't cold anymore. Putting my forehead on anything cold I can think of, windows, coins, the wall, basically whatever it takes to get an iota of relief. Anyway, I digress from my main point.

When my migraines get really bad, sometimes I vomit, which is what I did last night. The problem started right when I stopped throwing up. My throat just closed up. My head immediately jerked towards the ceiling to open up my airways and I was just barely getting enough air to keep from passing out. It felt like my neck was trying to strangle me. It lasted about 15 seconds, but it felt much longer, and honestly it scared the crap out of me. Has this ever happened to anybody else? I have been getting migraines since I was about 8,and this is the first time my throat has ever closed up.
