My experience-Looking to See If Anyone Shares Similar Symptoms - First Multi-day Migraine
Hello everyone,
For the first time in years, I had my first migraine. Not only that but my first ever multi-day migraine. I’m currently on day 6.
The first 3 days were the typical stabbing, throbbing pain behind the right eye. Pretty annoying but I could manage. My migraine also felt like it was moving to the center of my forehead so I was getting both eye and forehead migraines.
On day 4, my migraine was now completely isolated to the center of my head. Again annoying but a bit scary since this had never happened before. Along with that I got this really weird pressure feeling all over my head that was accompanied by a strange brain fog that made it difficult to focus. The brain fog was new as well.
On day 5, yesterday, I went to the hospital and got an IV of Tramadol and Benadryl which helped if not for the fact that I ended up with another migraine due to sleeping too much from the Benadryl.
Today, day 6, I kept on with the same migraine feeling I get from oversleeping but strangely enough after my neurologist appointment (for the migraines - first appointment with a neurologist ever), I took a nap and most of it went away. Now I’m at the point where I don’t actually feel a migraine if I am sitting or standing, EXCEPT for when I initially stand or start walking. If I’ve been standing or have been walking I tend to feel okay. Just a slightly weird pressure letting me know its not completely gone. Those are the only times now I feel the migraine pain. I’m hoping I’m approaching the tail end of this but I’m not holding my breath.
If anyone made it through that article of a post, please let me know what you guys go through and if any of this sounds familiar or odd. Thanks!
