My experience-I just experienced my first migraine...

Yesterday I experienced a migraine for the first time in my life. Firstly, I want to just acknowledge how lucky I feel to have never experienced one before. And more importantly, how sorry I feel for people who experience them chronically. They're so much worse than I could have possibly imagined! I feel I should acknowledge this because I know many of you on this sub must be veterans, and I don't know how you do it...

So, I have a few nooby questions for you veterans.

1) Will I likely experience them again in the future now that I have had one? Or is there a chance it'll never happen again? Here's hoping...

2) If I am to experience one again, how should I prepare? Keep paracetamol and ibuprofen on standby to take during the aura? Should I talk to a doctor to get a triptan to keep on standby?

3) Lastly, I think mine was triggered by dehydration / heat because I had just returned home from being out in the 35 degree heatwave here in the UK. I suppose it goes without saying that I should avoid this in the future? Do electrolytes help for those of you that are triggered by dehydration?

Some maybe helpful context: 27y/o otherwise healthy male. Despite my username I do not smoke weed (or anything for that matter).
