My experience-cycling as someone with migraine?
got my first headaches in last December, 2 months after I started training for a road cycling race that was in April. This also coincided with a transition from online to offline classes and exams, so anxiety stemming from that was a factor. At one point I had a very high functioning schedule where I slept 12 to 5, rode 30-50k, attending classes from 8 00 to 12 00 and then taking a 20 min nap in the afternoon, then doing hw and shit. (I am 17y 9m old). Anyways, I tried going cycling a while back on my usual route, and my intuition of when to attack and push myself was still similar to before migraine, and completely stopping exercise. So I got a headache. My triggers include heavy exertion, sun, loud noises, and basically all the things you experience on an Indian road while cycling. (Im Indian). So well. I am considering building or buying indoor cycling rollers. Anything else I can do? I enjoy cycling because of the outdoors, the feeling of being free, of going fast, and honestly exercise doesnt feel that fun otherwise. I dont have the time to go hiking regularly, and walking and running is probably not viable on Indian roads. As for swimming, the pool in my complex is not clean. Any suggestions to help me get back on track exercising regularly? The options rn include cycling rollers, going to a nearby park for brisk walking, begrudgingly swimming, joining a nearby club pool, and gymming. id like to avoid gymming till im out of 12th grade so I can make that commitment and not waste money.
