My experience-Amitriptyline works but causes high HR?
So amitriptyline is already working amazingly for my migraines. I’ve only had 1 in the week and a half I’ve been taking it (used to get 2-3 migraines a week, for reference). BUT my heart rate is high anytime I stand up. My resting heart rate is around 70, which is fine, sleeping HR gets to around 59, but just my walking HR jumps up to 90-110. It’s even gone as high as 120 today. And it’s not like I’m even doing anything crazy, just walking through my house, mild chores. I didn’t have this issue before taking ami and now I’m not sure what to do. I’m really enjoying the impact it has on my migraines.
Has anyone else had this? Does this symptom level off as time goes on? I did order magnesium threonate and lipothiamine because I read those can help regulate BP/HR. Any other advice would be amazing! Thank you! I’m so torn.
I see my doctor on Thursday and I’ll definitely be bringing this up, I just don’t want more meds to take.
