My experience-PSA: Don't give up on magnesium just yet!

TLDR; if you've tried magnesium in the past and it hasn't worked, keep trying different forms and give it at least a couple of weeks to see if it makes a difference. It was my miracle!

In detail:

I had tried magnesium in pill form before - usually citrate but I think I tried oxide at one point - and it seemed to never do anything. Over the past couple of years, my migraines had gotten worse, to where I was laid-out on average for 15 out of 30 days every month. Hadn't been to a neuro since I was a teenager (I'm 39 now), and wanted to hold off until I had no other options. Was getting close to that point.

Then my husband started reading about magnesium for some minor health issue he was having, and found a brand that comes in liquid form and is made from distilled seawater. He was really happy with it, and convinced me to start trying it. I started taking ~400mg of it every evening right after dinner.

Guys, I had one massive migraine right after I started it, and now 5 weeks later I have not had another single one. I'm a woman and tend to always get a migraine right before and a day or two after my period, and I was able to go 2 cycles without any migraines. No killer migraines. No minor background headaches that feel like they might become migraines. No weird nausea that may or may not eventually turn into a migraine. Nothing. I am FLOORED. I feel like I have my life back.

Don't give up!
