Hi all! I have been experiencing migraines more and more frequently since this winter, and recently I’ve had one per week. I downloaded migraine buddy to help me keep track of them since they seem to be more often.

A couple of them have been completely debilitating, screaming pain and wavy lines, bright spots, etc that makes me feel like I’m going to throw up. The possibility of working or being in bright light or loud environments is almost zero. These ones seemed to have a really concrete start and end, more textbook pre and post drome. I’m exhausted afterwards but I can tell when it’s “over”.

I’ve had others where I have similar visual disturbance like the bright lights, but without the wavy lines and intense head pain. These ones make me feel unwell overall and don’t feel like they begin and end concretely. I read aura is only supposed to last an hour max, but with these ones I feel a haziness and visual disturbance that feels like it’s about to get bad, but never does, and it goes on for several hours. Maybe this is the migraine itself and it’s just a lesser one?

I have gotten regular headaches frequently due to other chronic health problems, so I can definitely feel the difference between a migraine and a headache, but I guess I’m wondering if others suffer from such a wide range of severity and duration.
