My experience-Low-Dose Topiramate & Combination Birth Control?

Hi, my girlfriend has been taking a levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol (30mcg estradiol) for a while. Her doc prescribed her Topiramate as yet another attempt to treat her migraines. Doses began a week ago at 25mg/day, just started at 50mg. Supposed to max out at 100mg/day.

From what I've read, there is some reduced hormonal pill efficacy with Topiramate, but most of what I've seen said only in doses of 200mg+ per day. Anyone heard from their doc/pharmacist that this is true? A lot of resources online just have the blanket statement that Topiramate reduces OC efficacy, but doesn't state at what dosage that becomes true. Seem to be a lot of mixed messages. Her doc didn't say anything, neither did her pharmacist. She doesn't seem worried, but I'm always the paranoid one 🙃

Anyone heard anything on their end about this? Thanks!
