My experience-What is this headache
Tension headache or something else?
Hi, M23
Been having a pressure type headache for 6 weeks now. Been to the GP two times for it as I also experienced some left arm and left leg weakness (not really like I can’t walk but I feel there’s a difference even though I can do everything. Also read it could be perceived weakness). Also the last days I have some muscle/hand twitching on that side especially if i lay down and try to relax. I have extreme health anxiety..
GP doesn’t see a need to order an MRI because I passed the neuro exam and she thinks it has to do with my stress. Before developing this pressure like headache I had an extremely stressful period. Someone else had tension like headaches for this time? Mine are always present for the last 6 weeks, don’t wake me up from sleep, aren’t worse in the morning (I wake up in the morning and its a little bit there and then I start thinking and it gets worse throughout the day and sometimes subsides and comes back). It’s on the right side of my head around my ear and I get this sharp pain in my temples. That’s where I feel it the most, my temples (mostly the right one sometimes accompanied by left one) The pressure is also behind my right eye and on my jaw (TMD maybe?) and sometimes gets worse with exercise. Someone relate to this? Afraid of a tumour even tho my GP doesnt worry. In therapy now for anxiety..
Girlfriend says I grind my teeth sometimes in my sleep and i also clench my jaws during the day. Went to the dentist today and he told me he could feel some tension in my jaws. Ordered a splint for sleeping.
GP says if it were a tumor all the symptoms would worsen in 6 weeks and the weakness wouldn’t be just a sense of muscle weakness or a tired feeling in the arm but really the unability to do something like pick something up. What do you think? Anyone had this before? Would headaches from a tumor or mets be in the temple and jaw?
