My experience-Topamax-adjustment period?
I’m new to the migraine journey, and my PCP just put me on Topamax, as the first meds we tried weren’t really doing much for me.
She warned me about some of the side effects, and after the first few days the exhaustion has been hitting me HARD. I’m struggling to feel awake, and I just feel like I’m living in a fog. I haven’t been taking the meds very long, so I’m hoping I’ll adjust to them, but I hate feeling like this.
How long has the adjustment period been for anyone else with Topamax? My fear is that it could last for months. My migraine journey is at a SUPER inconvenient time, as I’m getting married in 4 months….so I either find a medication that works, or run the risk of waking up with a migraine on my wedding day-fun fun!!
