I've previously only had migraines without aura, so when i started vividly hallucinating bright colours and geometric patterns in the middle of the night........ it was a bit shocking, to say the least. It seriously felt like a psychedelic trip or something so getting it out of nowhere was really frightening, and then I got my usual migraine headache symptoms and everything clicked into place.

Have any of you been similarly freaked out by aura?
