My experience-histamines and migraines
I'm on neurologist number 4 for near daily migraines. (I left one, one left the clinic, and the last one shifted me to a special specialist because she was out of ideas.) Botox brought them down to about 15 days a month. Emgalady was amazing - like my life was almost normal- but I immediately developed an allergy to the injection, like I do with basically anything that gets injected. My new neurologist is working on the assumption that my migraines are caused by Mast Cell Activation Disorder, and I'm on high doses of two anti-histamines for a month to see if it helps at all.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience and could share? Did antihistamines by themselves work? Did you have to go on anything else? How long did it take for you to find something that worked well?
