I had the procedure for the first time on Monday morning: injections of Lidocaine + Solu-Medrol. It was performed by my neurologist, who does my Botox as well. Intended to be a bridge treatment between Botox treatments.

It’s now Friday evening and the base of my skull still hurts a LOT. Has anyone else experienced this much pain for this long? OTC analgesics don’t seem to help much.

I can feel the bruising at the injection sites. The pain is usually fine for the first part of the day, and then by afternoon my scalp is burning and aching. Tramadol helps, but I don’t want to keep taking that because I’m concerned about rebound headache.

On the upside, I haven’t had a migraine since I got it done. Normally I would have 1 or maybe 2 in that time.
