My experience-Renewed hope with a new medication plan

I just had another appointment with my neurologist, and I'm feeling very hopeful. I've posted here before about my struggles with topiramate (in a nutshell, I developed basically all the common side effects to an uncomfortable degree, ending in some suspicious bleeding and bruising, after which I was instructed to stop it completely without tapering).

I have no lingering side effects (thank goodness), and my neuro thinks I'd be a great candidate for Botox. So, I'm getting on the schedule! My first session won't be til July at the earliest because her schedule is so full, unfortunately. But, in the meantime, I requested to try verapamil. My mom takes this with good success for her migraines, and we are very similar in our drug tolerances. I'm incredibly hopeful that it will work for me, too.

Since stopping the topiramate and being without any preventative medication, I've really been struggling, so knowing that there's a new plan in place will help me continue on for now.
