My experience-Referred to behavioral health services? Is that right?
My new doctor's staff, in NY state, finally responded after me asking for weeks to get a referral to a neurologist, and they sent me a referral to a behavioral health clinic.
I've been to a few neurologists over the years, but in a different part of the country. It has always been a separate neurologist or headache clinic, never something connected with behavioral health services.
Did they give me the wrong referral, or is it normal for a neurologist to be part of behavioral health? I'll be seeing my Dr again in a few weeks, but I don't want to wait to try getting this referral corrected if they are sending me to the wrong place.
