My experience-Migraines after getting off birth control?
Hey everyone! For context, I’m 28F and have been experiencing migraines for about two years now. They are usually not super bad (I don’t get auras or any major symptoms other than light sensitivity and nausea) and most times I can fight them off with Tylenol, Naratriptan and sleep. My common triggers are weather-related: heat, sudden temperature changes, sun exposure, high humidity. Therefore, the worst time of the year for me is the summer, and then during the fall, winter and early spring I’m usually down to 1-2 mild migraines a month.
However, three weeks ago I got off the birth control pill, and since then I’ve been experiencing migraines almost daily. I’m not sure if it’s the hormonal situation or just the spring weather that has been a little erratic lately (I’m in the Midwest). Has this happened to anyone else?
