Migraine overview
A migraine is a headache that can purpose intense throbbing suffering or a pulsing sensation, typically on one facet of the head. It's often accompanied with the aid of nausea, vomiting, and excessive sensitivity to mild and sound. Migraine assaults can closing for hours to days, and the discomfort can be so excessive that it interferes with your each day activities. For some people, a warning symptom viewed as an air of secrecy takes location until now than or with the headache. An air of secrecy can consist of visible disturbances, such as flashes of mild or blind spots, or different disturbances, such as tingling on one thing of the face or in an arm or leg and concern speaking.
My experience-it seems like I can never win with these migraines
I have chronic intractable migraine. I'm just over a year in without a single moment pain-free. Before that I had a migraine 15+ days a month for about a year.
When I went to my GP a week in to this migraine, I was told that because I don't exercise an hour a day (I did, but had to stop that week because the migraine was so bad), that it obviously wasn't too bad, else I would be doing whatever I could to stop them.
I spoke to her again yesterday, and she asked about lifestyle modifications. I did all the ones she suggested. 7 hours of exercise a week, low screen time, 3-4 liters of water a day, 7-9 hours a sleep a night. I even started going back to school more or less full time, after building up slowly for weeks.
Her response? If you're managing school and exercise, your migraine obviously isn't that bad.
I hate the stigma around this. it's so pervasive, even in the medical community.
