My experience-Asking neurologist for preventatives - any advice?
I’m 28F and have been diagnosed with migraines a few years ago, I’m taking Sumatriptan 50mg when necessary and it’s been going well. I used to have 1-4 migraines per month.
Since March, however, it’s been getting worse and I feel like I took too many triptans (10 in March and 5 in April, including double doses). My neuro appt is next week.
Since my triggers vary from hormonal/period-related to stress and stuff like working in a dirty, poorly aired office when boss doesn’t allow homeoffice — are there any meds that might prevent migraines?
Abortives work, usually, I wanna reduce them. Do you have any good experiences with preventatives? I can look them up in my country and come prepared to the neuro appt haha. Thank you!
