My experience-from twice a week migraine for years to once every 2 months due to antidepressants

Hey all, hope you guys are doing well and are not in too much pain. I have been suffering from migraine from the age of 11 (i am 21 now). I got really severe migraines 2 time a week (vomiting, really bad aura, numbness, could not even talk, every single symptom). I tried a lot of medication but nothing worked for a long time. When i was in college and lived on my own I got depressed, the doctor prescribed me antidepressants. I hated them due to the side-effects but i noticed one thing. The weekly migraines i had for 10 years where gone. I had less then 1 migraine a month. I was so baffled that all the migraine medication and alternative options didn't work but antidepressants did. Now i use a milder antidepressant with almost no side-effects and today i got my second migraine in 6 months. This is such a great improvement and I have no clue how it works. Maybe it's worth a try idk. I just wanted to share this, maybe it'll help someone.

I hope everyone will find something that works for them.
