Migraine overview
A migraine is a headache that can purpose intense throbbing suffering or a pulsing sensation, typically on one facet of the head. It's often accompanied with the aid of nausea, vomiting, and excessive sensitivity to mild and sound. Migraine assaults can closing for hours to days, and the discomfort can be so excessive that it interferes with your each day activities. My experience-First experience with aphasia
I’ve gotten migraines for a few years now and luckily they’ve always been pretty manageable up until now. They are relatively rare and I never had an aura. But this week, I suddenly stopped being able read or form coherent sentences in the middle of class. I got sent to the ER where they did a CT scan that came back normal, and they told me it was likely caused by a migraine. Sure enough about an hour later, splitting headache. The doctors at the ER referred me to a neurologist but I live in a major city with a doctor shortage so I won’t have an appointment for two more months. I’m so worried that this will happen again/get worse before then that I fear being alone and can hardly concentrate on classes. I can also barely find any info online about how to prevent it. Anyone who’s had aphasia, is there a way you usually can tell it’s about to come on?
