My experience-ER tips while photo and phono phobic

I had to go to the ER when I was extremely light and sound sensitive with an 8/10 migraine and these things just may have saved my sanity:

  1. Ear plugs
  2. Thick blackout sleeping mask
  3. Large, round, dark microfiber sunhat
  4. Dark glasses
  5. Get a wheelchair when you get there so you don't have to endure the light to move from place to place.

I just know the idea of leaving a dark, quiet room is awful but if you run to to a situation where you have to go to the ER regardless, these tips might help you, too. They gave me a drug called droperidol, 2.5 mg, and that took down my pain and anxiety related to the pain several notches. Why have I never heard of this magic drug before?!
