My experience-Disappointed that Aimovig didn’t work

Finding the right treatment has been so frustrating. I put my hopes in one medicine and it rarely pans out.

Have tried a bunch of different treatments progressively as it’s what my insurance requires.

Got approved for Botox and got it for almost 2 years. Reduced the intensity of my migraines until it didn’t.

I kept reading about the monthly injections so I thought this would really do it. My pain management doc prescribed me Aimovig and I actually get more migraines among other side effects.

I use Nurtec as abortive as is the one the works more consistently than other meds. Triptans make me feel terrible and would almost rather have a migraine than take the Triptans.

I don’t know what’s next. This is so frustrating. I just want to find something that works and have a normal life 😔
