My experience-I have "mystery headaches"

Hi,

So, my neurologist was trying to figure out if I was having migraines, some other type of headache, or seizure activity. He ordered an MRI, and it came back normal. I go for my EEG next week, so unless that EEG comes back weird, I most likely have some kind of headache syndrome.

Specifically, I get real nauseous, then a headache for 15-20 minutes that consists of stabbing pains on the right side of my head off and on, then I usually get an aura (seeing red, loud noises, lots of smells and tastes), and, if I didn't take something for nausea, I throw up and the headache is over. This has been going on multiple times a day.

My neurologist decided, for now, to treat my mystery headaches similar to migraines. He's put me on a magnesium supplement as a preventative aide. He's also prescribed a stronger anti-nausea medication. And, he's prescribed Ubrelvy as a rescue medication for my headaches. I hope it helps.

Just posting here to see if anyone has had a similar experience. Before all this started, I used to only get a few second stabbing pains about twice a week without all the other symptoms.

Thank you!
