My experience-Help. Please.

I started getting this random, awful pain at the beginning of this month where it felt like the right base of my skull was grinding up against the top of my spine. This pain would spread all along the right side of my neck into the side/back of my head and into my shoulder. Eye pain/ some sinus pain, ear pain and pressure accompanies it. No matter what there was always a constant dull pain.

I just figured this was a pinched nerve and began treating it with heat, ice, ibuprofen.

After a week or two, it felt like things were getting better and then it just hit me all over again. I went to the ER, I told them all my symptoms and they told me it was tension headaches and they gave me muscle relaxers and discharged me. Didn’t X-ray, didn’t do MRI because I guess they didn’t think I needed one. They told me to try chin tucks and stretches but that feels like it’s making things worse and now a part of my shoulder is sore as hell from trying them.

So now here I am, still struggling with this pain, all localized on the right side still. I struggle to sleep. I can feel my neck begin to tense up and the pain travel to my eyes when I lay down (which I have swapped out pillows and my mattress and it did nothing tbh). Theres pain if I sit wrong or on something. I can’t even move around without some kind of pain or discomfort in that area.

It just always feels like I’m tense now in my shoulder or neck or a nerve is being pinched.

Its going to be months out before I can see my GP, I don’t have a neurologist near me and I’m scared of going to the chiro out of fear it’ll get worse. I’m at my wits end and a lot of days I just feel like absolute shit. Injections scare me and I absolutely do not want surgery.

Do any of you have experiences similar to mine and how do you combat them?
