My experience-Botox Inquiry
I had a TBI in 2015, and have had migraines ever since. I've only just recently started seeing the neurologist about the migraines though. I am new to hearing things about botox treatment for the migraines (told to me by a Marine friend who said that soldiers coming home from war who have a TBI get sent straight to botox without messing with meds). I think I am going to ask about it at my next appointment. I suffer daily from migraines. My neurologist will put me on a new medication and it'll help a lot for about 6 weeks, but then they start coming back.
My question is for those who have experience with botox. Is it effective? How much so? Any bad side effects? Does it totally take away the migraines, or just lessen them the same way meds do?
