My experience-What's your cocktail to prevent migraines?

I lost my job a few months ago, and just got a new one. I had been getting a migraine every day, and I got botox every three months, which mostly controlled them for all but a couple of weeks before each shot.

Now botox shots in my area cost about $2500 cash, including the doctor injecting them. So I had to find an alternative. Based on my neurologist's recommations, I started taking the follow every day:

Migraine Assist from Amazon, which has butterbur, and the others. There are a ton of options for this, so pick what makes sense to you.

Naproxen (2 pills with breakfast and 2 with dinner) - be careful to only take it with food, or it can tear up your stomach pretty seriously.

Magnesium 500mg

This combo took about 3 months to take effect, but now I'm at a migraine a month (I use amerge to break it).

This is working great for me, so much so that I plan to skip the botox when my new insurance kicks in.

TLDR: I found a combo that works for me, but I know we're all different, and different people can have different triggers. So what works for you to control your migraines?
