My experience-Postdrome
Not really sure where to begin. I’m no stranger to migraines as I typically get 1-2 a year (with aura), but since the summer (when I got covid) I’ve been getting them much more frequently. I can remember at least 7 in the past few months.
A few days ago I woke up with a pretty bad headache, and as the day went on I gathered it was actually a migraine because my brain always has that bruised feeling during postdrome, sharp pain when bending over, etc.
This postdrome is particularly bad this time. Major depression each day that has been spiraling, and I’ve had persistent head pain that ebbs and flows in intensity. The head pain has lasted a few days now. Still there as we speak. Visual disturbances as well…feels like an aura could happen at any second.
My postdromes were never this bad and I’m getting a little concerned. Can they really last this long out of nowhere? Even if they previously weren’t as bad?
I couldn’t get in with a neuro for several months so I just scheduled with my GP for next week and maybe they can do an MRI or something. Just writing here for now to ease my (aching) mind.
