My experience-Migraines better, now worse again

So short version- had a head injury 4.5 years ago. Couple years in migraines get better with help of medication. Got off the medication when started trying for a baby. Took a year to get pregnant, so full year of no meds with few migraines. Got pregnant and got even better til I quit breastfeeding.

Since then, it’s been absolutely horrible. Sunday I had the worst migraine I’ve had in several years (since I was still in recovery mode). Idk if the hormones still trying to recover from pregnancy are to blame, or getting older, or what.

Has anyone had this experience? Or experience with being better getting off meds then needing to get back on them? Thankfully I go for my annual with my neurologist next week (I was literally doing so well we went down to once a year appts) but I don’t want him to blow it off as “just hormones and wait it out” you know? I need some relief!
