My experience-Hemiplegic Migraines and Strength Training that helps?
Hello! I’ve been getting chronic migraines for the past few years. I can’t say I know what my triggers are outside of it being hereditary, however I’m suspecting that they are stress-induced. I forgot to take my magnesium glycinate 400mg supplements for a week and I am paying for it significantly.
My migraines are always long episodes and I have them half to most of the month without magnesium. I’m on day 7 of my first hemiplegic migraine and it’s seriously impacting my life at work and impeding on my stress reliever- exercise.
Does anyone know of any movements/strength training that specifically helps offset these type of migraines, or which ones might trigger it? Is (stationary) cardio a better option?
I can not get with a neurologist- I’ve been cancelled on several times after being waitlisted for months. My PCP has prescribed me several medications and none of them have helped at all.
TYIA!
tl;dr: new to hemiplegic migraines. What type of fitness helps you?
