My experience-Starting to get migraines after starting remote work

Being in front of a computer all day can really strain your eyes and cause a migraine. I work remotely, and since I’m a full time cybersecurity engineer, Im on a computer all day. I worked as an IT assistant back a few times a week in college, and a lot of my courses were online even pre-pandemic. I guess a lot of the emotional stress I’ve been through after graduated May of last year has triggered these migraines.

They don’t last long, like 1-5 seconds. It’ll happen once or twice a day. I get the ice pick headache that feels like a stabbing pain, but it’s not severe and lasts a few seconds. I sometimes get it around my eyes too. This does give me lots of anxiety as I’m worried I could have a brain aneurysm or a tumor. No one in my family has ever had any of those things.

The anxiety has been taking a toll on me. I keep on worrying I’ll get an aneurysm or tumor. I get paranoid I’ll die young because of these migraines. I know I could be having it much worse, but the rumination is what drives me crazy. Has anyone gone through the same, what has helped you?
