My experience-Numbness in fingers and face
Hi guys I’m new to this page but unfortunately not new to getting migraines. Whenever I get them it feels like it’s one thing after another. It usually begins with a weird pressure on the left side of my head, then follows with tingling/numbness in my right hand and fingers, then follows to the left side of my face. Many time I get aura issues as well. I can’t drive during these periods or really function at all. This usually progresses to me vomiting multiple times and needing to be in a dark space to eventually fall asleep. Luckily for me I only have a migraine for about 12 hours and then it usually resolves itself… However, what I came here to ask is whether any of you guys are on a preventative medication and if it works for you? Do you guys see a specialist? I am on a medication that I take once I feel the symptoms arising, but I am a college student and have missed so many activities/ classes because of these migraines!!! I’m DONE!! If anyone has any sort of advice or even if you can just relate it would mean so much. I’m done hearing just suck it up, it can’t be that bad so I thought this group would be a great place to air my feelings. Thanks in advance!!!
