My experience-Is this vertigo, or something else?

Over the past few months, I've had a new symptom that I think might be a different kind of vertigo.

So far it's only happened when I'm sitting up and sitting still. It feels like I've very suddenly slid about two feet to the left or right when I haven't actually moved at all. No spinning, just sliding and the feeling is gone pretty much immediately after. It has only happened during a unique pain-free migraine or a few hours before a regular migraine starts up.

I am working on scheduling an appointment with a neurologist, just looking for possible answers while I wait!
